This outstanding tour is full of character as it passes through ever changing scenery close to the west coast of the Highlands. A route is followed from Shiel Bridge to Torridon travelling through impressive glens and ancient Caledonian woodland of Scots Pine. Looking to the west the views of the Hebrides, including the famous Cuillins of Skye, constantly change. On the second day the tour passes very close to the dramatic Falls of Glomach, which at almost 400ft high are one of the highest waterfalls in the British Isles.
The area is home to varied wildlife with Golden Eagles and herds of Red Deer being frequently seen. Three of the seven nights are spent on the coast giving the opportunity to also experience the rich coastal wildlife that the area is renowned for. If you're fortunate enough seals, otters and even dolphins might be spotted close to the shore.
The highlight of this tour is saved until the final day with a spectacular run passing close to the Torridonian giants of Beinn Eighe and Liathach. These massive mountains of sandstone and quartzite must be among the most impressive in the Highlands.
The tour enjoys a combination of comfortable hostel and traditional hotel accommodation, with a hot shower, comfortable bed and welcome meal at the end of each day. This includes an overnight stay at Alltbeithe in Glen Affric - the most remote hostel in Scotland.
