Our tour of the English Lake District provides an ideal introduction to multi-day trail running. Being a complete circuit around the central fells the tour enjoys outstanding scenery as it passes through the valleys and woodland of the most picturesque corner of England. The views of Scafell Pike, the highest summit in England, and surrounding hills constantly change as you travel from one valley to the next. This tour enjoys the comfort of hostel accommodation throughout, with a hot shower, comfortable bed and welcome meal at the end of each day.

The English Lake District tour follows trails and single track footpaths throughout and has plenty of character as it passes by historic farms and villages, and through ancient woodland of mixed deciduous trees. Taking place in April the valleys will be blossoming with spring flowers.

The day stages of this tour allow the full beauty of the National Park to be appreciated while running the trail, taking breaks, and resting in the hostels.

Drawing on the experience of our two tour guides there will be scope on each day to cover more miles or run higher for those who want to. If all additional excursions are followed the tour would increase to: 98 km (61 mls) and 6180 m (20280 ft) ascent.
